How do I update the information on a ROSTR profile?
Profiles on ROSTR are maintained by our data team to ensure accuracy and consistency across the platform. You can't edit profiles directly, but you can let us know what needs changing and we'll take care of it.
How to request an update
On any profile, click the update button (the pencil icon on the right side of the profile). This will open a chat where you can describe what needs to be corrected, added, or removed. Our data team will review your request and follow up once the update is made, or reach out if they need more context.
Common questions
Can I change an artist's genre?
Genre data on ROSTR is currently sourced from Spotify. Not all artists have genre data available through Spotify, so some profiles may not display a genre. On company and person profiles, genres reflect the most common genres across their roster. Genre data can't be manually edited right now, but we're working on changes that will provide greater flexibility in the future.
Why does the same person appear under multiple companies on an artist profile?
If a manager or agent is associated with more than one company of the same type in our database, each of those company connections will appear on the artist profile. The artist will only appear on the roster of the company they're technically signed to, but all associated companies will show on the artist's profile. This is something we plan to improve.
Can I reorder the people listed on an artist profile?
We can adjust the ordering of people who represent an artist at the same company. We can't currently reorder the listing of companies on a profile, but that's something we'll be able to do in the future. If you'd like to request a change, use the update button on the profile and let us know.
