ROSTR draws on a combination of first-party data, AI-powered workflows, external data partners, and publicly available information to build and maintain profiles across the platform.
First-party data
The foundation of ROSTR's data comes directly from industry professionals. When you claim a profile, request an update, or submit new information, that goes straight to our data team, who verify and apply it. This first-party data is the most valuable source we have — it comes from the people closest to the information.
AI-powered workflows
In some areas, we use AI-powered workflows to help gather and present information. For example, the About tab on artist profiles uses AI to bring together context, key facts, and biographical details in one place. Learn more about how this works in How does the About tab work?
External data partners
Certain data on ROSTR is sourced from trusted third-party providers. For example, artist audience metrics come from Soundcharts, and live/touring information on the Live tab of artist profiles comes from Bandsintown.
Public sources
Our data team also monitors company roster pages, official announcements, news coverage, social media, and other reliable public sources to keep profiles current.
