Using the preview panel in ROSTR 2.0

Learn how to use this new tool

Written by Santiago Brusco

The preview panel is a new way to explore information in ROSTR 2.0 without constantly switching pages. It helps you quickly understand what you’re looking at, decide what’s relevant, and keep browsing without losing context.

What is the preview panel

The preview panel is the view that opens on the right side of the screen when you click an artist, company, person, or signing.

Instead of immediately taking you to a full profile, it shows key information alongside what you were already viewing. This lets you get context quickly before deciding whether you want to go deeper.

Why the preview panel exists

The preview panel is designed to support faster, more natural exploration.

It allows you to:

  • Quickly scan important information

  • Look at multiple items one after another without jumping between pages

  • Compare information more easily

  • Decide when it’s worth opening a full profile

This makes browsing feel lighter and more flexible, especially when you’re exploring many results.

How it works

When you click an artist, company, person, or signing a panel opens on the right with key details, but your original view stays in place on the left.

If you want more detail, you can open the full profile directly from the preview panel, by selecting "View full profile" or hitting the Return key. If not, you can keep browsing and close the panel at any time.

When to use the full profile instead

The preview panel is best for scanning and comparison.

When you want deeper detail, more context, or to take action, opening the full profile gives you access to everything related to that artist, company or person.

A new way to explore

The preview panel is meant to make exploration feel faster and less disruptive. It gives you the freedom to browse broadly, follow your curiosity, and go deeper only when it makes sense for you.
